San Francisco veteran bashers Metallica will release their ninth studio album Death Magnetic, their first with acclaimed producer Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, RedHotChilliPeppers, Run DMC, Slayer, Audioslave, RATM, SystemOfADown) on September 12
Early reviews hailed the album as a triumphant return to their old roots, albeit with a compliment of a modern sound. Rolling Stone wrote it as a musical equivalent of Russia's invasion of Georgia — a sudden act of aggression from a sleeping giant, while The Quietus reviewed all 10 tracks, summarize them as well worth the hype, especially after the disappointment of 3 previous releases in Load, ReLoad and St. Anger
Well, i am a fan of their first 4 albums (KillEmAll, RideTheLightning, MasterOfPuppets,...AndJusticeForAll) and from what i heard on the first listen it is quite promising (the entire album has leak on the net, apparently courtesy of a shop in Paris which sold copies of the CD well ahead of its official worldwide release)

don't be too excited, they played 'cyanide' in dublin last month.. probably a 1st song of the album like they intro-played 'fuel' in 1996, 1st 2 minutes sounds promising - hard rock but not trash metal - and felt like they overdo it at the end..
to judge one album by one song is harsh, but I suspect it'd still be like the st anger..
BUT, that's just one song.. I might eat my words soon.. (hopefully)

gua rasa macam masih tak cukup je... master of puppet masih terbaik kot... tapi tatau la mungkin sebab itu lagu masih baru so dia belum lekat dalam itu kepala... atau mungkin itu suara pokcik hetfil masih tak cukup metal macam dulu kot... kalau dengor album ni stakat ni rasanya layan In Flames lagi best giler kot...

stakat ni gua dah layan tiga round... baru la nak ada rasa feel sikit... kira ok jugak la layan... tapi bukan untuk roadtrip la... mau sangap suma orang...
