The RM4Million Cop

An example of why the Police Institution in 50-years old Malaysia is synonym with Corruption, Savage Brutality, Power Abuse and Trigger-Happy:

A Senior Police will be slapped with 5 charges of accepting close to RM4 miilion, all received from illegal activities.

Coppa del Campioni d’Europa 2007-2008

*UPDATE*
Matchday 1 fact: out of these 12 players, 5 scored for their respective teams (Francesco Totti, Raul Gonzales, Christiano Ronaldo, Cesc Fabregas and David Villa). Meanwhile, in respect of the holy month of Ramadhan, KJ decide not to score Maya Karin.

(1024 x 768)

Today mark the beginning of a long journey towards the UEFA Champions League Final in Moscow next May.

I fondly remember the morning a team i adored very much defeated the greatest club in the universe 3-0 (last season UCL semifinal 2nd leg)...it was  among the greatest day of my pathetic adult life.

May the best team win

F1 Belgium, Spa Francorchamps

After a year hiatus, the classic Spa Francorchamps circuit is back on the F1 map this weekend.  This race track is among my favourite alongside Suzuka, Japan and Monza, Italy.
Hosted the first GP in 1924, the track boasted arguably the most famous corner in the history of F1 called 'Eau Rouge', where to this day it remains a mysterious racing-line which requires a large amount of skill from the driver to negotiate well.

"Having pass the 'La Source' hairpin, drivers race down a straight to the point crosses the Eau Rouge stream for the first time, before being launched steeply uphill into a
sweeping left-right-left collection of corners with a blind summit."

Drivers and fans alike love races at SpaFrancorchamps. A dull race at
Spa is very rare, and most drivers today say that the course is one of
the two most challenging race tracks in the world alongside Japan's Suzuka Circuit.

The race this weekend was clouded by the shocking verdict by the FIA World Motor Sport Council to
disqualifiy McLaren from the 2007 constructors' championship and
imposed a fine of US$100 million - the largest fine in any sporting history, due to the 'spy-gate' scandal (news here).

Read full report of FIA decision here, which include the email xchanges between Fernando Alonso, Pedro de la Rosa (test driver) and Mike Coughlan (former McLaren Chief Designer).

In my opinion, the verdict is too harsh for McLaren.  Pity for Lewis Hamilton if he is destined to win the driver's title.  I expect only few will recognise his brilliance due to this scandal

09/09/2002 - 09/09/2007

mumbling alert:
Today mark the 5th year of my employment at my current practice...in fact this is my first job upon my graduation.
The current office has been kind very to me...u can come late...bullshit the clients...and u are welcome to flirt...plus the pay is quite reasonable...even the tea-lady is very kind too...
But seriously i need to move on...not that i really complain or anything but the comfort zone i am in right now is bad in the long run.

This pic is an example of the typical day at the office when i'm not going out to site or melencong...As u can see, i am trying to draft a crappy masteplan but my colleague here is trying to distract me by putting all sorts of stuff on the contour model.  I have no complain about that...except... err...please get KJ out of the way

by the way, a certain friend is celebrating his birthday today...sorry friend...you are getting older!

*UPDATE*
snaps of the birthday boy...a joyous celebration turn into  a nightmare as he was coaxed to threat his friends on that fateful day  ...burppppp...thanx bro!

Sambutan Kemerdekaan Peringkat Kebangsaan: NAPALM DEATH

In conjunction with the nation's half-century of indiependance, the legitimate forefathers of grindcore, Napalm Death came down all the way from Birmingham, England for a one-off show at Ruums Club, KL..

Billed as the 'Smear Campaign Tour'  to support  their latest release, this is a second visit from the legendary extremists  after the first trip back in 2001.

I believe many who came will agree that it was a furious nite formed out of highly aggressive extreme metal and savage hardcore/punk fitted with social criticism.
No need to say much, just checkout the videos i uploaded in YouTube

Weltschmerz + Sink Fast, Let Go (from the album 'Smear Campaign')
Scum (from the album 'Scum')
Rabid Wolves (from the album 'Smear Campaign')

two more vids, courtesy of the hp cam:
1. Nazi Punks Fuck Off- EP, original song by Dead Kennedys
2. Seige Of Power- from the album 'Scum'

btw, in case you are wondering, this is not blackmetal...therefore, not a single kambing hitam  was harmed as far as the show is concerned

After that i head to this DIY street party at CM Annexe: a free gig+street fashion show+bazaar all into one event in conjunction with the merdeka (Checkout the flyer on the right). 13 Indie Rock acts were slated to perform which include Free Love, Muck, Komplot and The Rebel Scum to name a few.
I arrived very late so didnt manage to catch  the performance... (in fact i heard only 6 bands hit the stage before the authorities told the organiser to called it off - some kind of 'disturbance to the public') 2 words: Yuck Fou

since i arrived super-late, as you can see, not much of a street party...and not many bazaar left to coup some business DIY-style...but checkout these cool creative designs though.
And...errr...at the other end of the building the CM management (not the event organiser) held a screening of the film 'Paloh'..for patriotism sake?

coincidently my friend Jos had just finished his ACCA class nearby.  We hangout at Joe Kidd's Ricecooker shop and have a nice litte chat with him...topic? varies...from rumours of a 4U2C reunion to the exploits of Khairy Jamaluddin.  Btw, checkout this site on Joe's one-stop outlet for diy/indie culture here

meet up with joneng and we had some middle-eastern flavoured dinner at Sahara Tent Arabic Restaurant, Bukit Bintang (but unfortunately...minus the belly dancer) .  Out of the blue Jos wanted to pay for the dinner...as a threat  for his upcoming birthday...Happy 20th Birthday geng!
