today is the fourth day we stranded in Bali...so basically halfway thru the trip...seriously we began to miss things back home: Roti Canai/Nasi Lemak kas-kas, the politix of Khairy Jamaluddin and of course Mawi and Dato K to name a few.
what more could u ask for for a RM40 bed and breakfast per room package...and enjoyed it within a garden courtyard vicinity..and looks like joker turn on his snapping-mode earlier than usual today...

if one day u find yourself down in Sanur, I highly recommend you to stay here.
the journey today is up north to the highlands of Kintamani with stopovers at Celuk, Sukawati Art Market and Gunung Kawi
The Balinese are renowned for their artistic and craft skills on jewellery. We made our first stop at Celuk, the jewel capital of Bali where a stretch of gold and silversmiths showrooms were scattered all along the main road.
hate to broke the news but Kechique will get hitched sometime this November ...sorry to all male fans
we continue our journey up north and stops at Sukawati Art Market near the city of Gianyar. If you asked Balinese where
to find cheapest arts/crafts/textiles/souvenirs, they definitely will recommend you this traditional market. Too bad we didnt bring any lady with us...otherwise i am sure they will rejoic the max.
Many items sold in Kuta or other areas originate from this market. They are considerably cheaper if bought here...definitely a good place to explore the shopping xperience in a natural way, get in touch with common people and see how the locals bargain.
so everybody got their fair shair of items...and from now on the vehicle got heavier i reckoned...
The last stop before our ultimate destiny today is Gunung Kawi, a complex of pavilions and rock-cut shrines carved into the hillsides constructed along a river in the 11th century. This place of worship is surrounded by rushing waters and terraced rice fields, and u have to go down almost 1000 steps to reach down (yep, i exaggerate the step bit)
the place guardian depicted kechique, sedi and scott as eternal bad boys...so they have to wear a sarong to enter...(actually their pants is 'not up to specifications', so they have to wear a sarong as not to disrespect the 'gods')
the going down bit is easy...but going back up the 1000 steps? let these faces tell the story
on the way out, got some light entertainment in the form of local boys playing some kind of traditional games

after a long, hilly and winding road we arrived at Kintamani, a few hours just before sunset
Kintamani is a town perched on the edge of a volcano's rim offering panoramic views of the still active Mount & Lake Batur and Mount Agung. It was rank among the most dramatic and accessible live volcanoes to be found anywhere.
Actually Joker, Rehot and me were here in our 2005 trip so we are quite familiar with the place. in fact, today we plan to stay at the same losmen we checked-in back in '05 down the danau.
We gotta fill 6 empty stomach first...found one and only Warung Jawa...sedia halal...jalan terosss

while waiting for the food, one particular person turned on his inner demonish kanak-kanak riang mode...he try to practice a prehistoric stretching
exercise of ancient travellers such as Alex the Great, Christopher Columbus, Gengis Khan and Herman Tino (Ipoh-KL
by foot back in the 80s)

Check-in at Astra Dana Homestay at Kedisan Village after lunch. This might sound cliche' but we got a room with a view
i mean magnificent view
this particular one is my favourite pic of the whole trip
maybe i am wrong but don't you think mat jos got some tongue fetishes?
