the 39 hours revenge therapy
This post is about how i waste my time when i went back to the old country for a week off earlier this month. What i am trying to tell you is i will bored you to death with this super cheesy titled post. so here it goes....
Most of the time was spent rebonding with my favourite people in the world (...and the award goes to the 5 nieces and 4 nephews), and the least favourite part: spending a weekend (approximately 30+ hours of suffering) catching up with old associates and nemesis alike for some long overdue hi-5vers.
and unfortunately, on that fateful weekend a game of futsal friendly was organised by my former classmates (aka a lame excuse for a mini reunion), and at the end of the match it is safe to say that our opponent was not harmed...maybe due to some cantilevered bellies and/or weak bones since most of us will hit 60 soon
Aftermath? the best part of the day. the part i miss the most when i'm abroad. The secret of every healthy malaysian: daily dosage of latenite supper at the mamak chit-chatting cock and bull
Meet-up with Joen, Idora and Miss Aina that morning. We rode a big steel junkyard that ferries vehicles and innocent people to the island.
They call em ferry.,,then had brunch at a place that does not serve curry
Thanx to Amir, Scott, Joeneng, Idora and Miss Aina for your all around RAD-ness

and a big hug for sending me off at KLIA...u guys definitely in my good books with great grades
btw, did i tell you earlier in the post that i will bored you to death?

So why mamak hangout is so popular? maybe the super-efficient service or, maybe the tonnes of kas-kas? some of them are very humble too, they even pose a picture with you
Lose your illusions

QT's latest
Earlier this week at the Cannes Film Festival, World War II epic Inglorious Bastards was screened. Reviews almost immediately start to pop up, some coming down hard on it and others praising it to high heavens (read what the critics have to say)
So what makes the film so special? Well, it's a Quentin Tarantino's flick...and i'm a sucker for his work (Pulp Fiction & Reservoir Dogs are filmsy-xtraordinaire in my top 10)

HAVE HEART- Armed with a Mind
Live at MCPA Theatre, Kuala Lumpur 16.05.09
this is so sad...one of the leading new voice of hardcore, Boston-based HAVE HEART (which happen to be my favourite HC band at the moment) announced their break-up yesterday following their current world tour...
and to rub salt to the wound, they are scheduled to PERFORM AT KUALA LUMPUR's MCPA Theatre tomorrow!...I was in KL last week, if i knew this earlier no doubt i will xtend my stay to see em for the first and last time:
with top notch hardcore masterpieces in 2006's The Things We Carry and 2008's Song To Scream At The Sun (still in my Pod heavy rotation), HH certainly quitting the game on a high
watch a 30 minute clip of them performing:
-Armed with a mind
-The machinists
-Life is hard enough
-Us fools
-Something more than ink
-About face
-The Unbreakable
-Watch me rise

(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth
since 1982, they have taken the heavy metal ambassadorship to a new level
recently lars ulrich, james hetfield, kirk hammett, rob trujillo, jason newsted and (the late) cliff burton, current and past members of a small time band called Metallica, were inducted into 2009 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, following the footsteps of past inductess Led Zeppelin, The Clash, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith , Ramones etc
The band was inducted by Red Hot Chilli Peppers's Flea, who recalled:
"the first time I heard Metallica, in 1984 while on tour with the Peppers. It was 3 in the morning, we were tired, crammed into a van and sick
of being on the road, and this music comes on the radio, and I
couldn't believe that it f**king existed. I didn't know what it was;
the only thing I knew for sure was that it was a mighty thing,"he said of "Fight Fire with Fire", the opener to 1984 classic Ride The Lightning
Metallica also led a 'surprise jam' to end the nite with RCHP's Flea, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Aerosmith's Joe Perry and Jeff Beck (watch clip below)

Everything from used (or 'bundle' for street term) dresses (mostly ladies) , household & electronic items, antiques, toys, books and handcrafts were on the table
maizura & pica bought dresses and bags while i eat first-hand ice cream
